It's me again. I am in the US, so I will look out for Smoked Paprika at any of our International shops or Whole foods. Thanks so much and keep those wonderful recipes coming! ag

Answers to your questions:
1). Smoked Paprika how is it different from regular paprika?
Smoked paprika is smokey and you can find it at Waitrose or Borough Market from Brindisa
http://www.brindisa.com/products/provisions/
2). Do these pies freeze well?
Yes you can freeze the cooked pies for up to two months. Please defrost fully before reheating the pies.
3). Dare I ask this? Can I use canned organic pumpkin?
Yes I will let you off, I have no problem with you using canned pumpkin, please season it well.

Madalene, Wow this looks absolutely wonderful! I have a few questions: 1). Smoked Paprika how is it different from regular paprika? I have a hard time finding the former so, can I substitute the later with compromising the taste? 2). Do these pies freeze well? Lastly, 3). Dare I ask this? Can I use canned organic pumpkin? I know, I know - not the same as fresh, but...thanks so much! Keep the food coming!

curiously enough, i braised pork loin last night, kept
adding just enough fresh apple cider to keep it from
sticking....now i can make something interesting with
the leftover pulled meat!
i have left pumpkin behind for pies...i use a
butternut squash instead for all pumpkin dishes.
it is a bit sweeter, and the flesh is never stringy,
i roast it same way, and flesh purees beautifully.
my family and friends always request my
"pumpkin pies" over the holidays.
it is a small secret.
