I didn't have any Tahini so I ground sesame seeds to a paste in my Thermomix and the result was fantastic. Another brilliant achievement for the Thermomix. Jo

Beautiful salad- I love the sound of the dressing! You left out my favourite reason for eating Quinoa: that it's a complete protein! :)

What a nice idea to colour the quinoa with turmeric! I really love quinoa. I like to add it the way I would use pumpkin seeds in a salad, to add a different texture. I like it with juicy red peppers, broccoli and some salty cheese like feta. And toasted pumpkin seeds.

Sumac again.... I live in an area where I can not find exotic ingredients very easily (at the South-West end of London), and went over as far as Selfridge to buy a bottle yesterday; when I was to get off at Waterloo, of all things, I left the paper bag containing it on my seat, never to be found again. How how demotivating. Oh, sumac, sumac....

By the way, quinoa has been one of my staple ingredients for the past five years, and quinoa breckie (cook with apple/sultana) has been one of our weekend breakfast favorites! Shall try this recipe as soon as I may get hold of sumac once again. Ah, there are red quinoa as well, and mixing it with white one makes the presentation interesting.

Beautiful dish! Personally, I prefer to prepare quinoa using the pilaf method, or even in a rice cooker with a pinch of salt if I'm lazy. More flavor, and probably more nutrients, than the boil and drain method.

Gorgeous dish, love your photos!
