The ice cream sounds superb by itself. Frangipane and a tart to top it off? Pure bliss. This is an incredible recipe! The ice cream sounds superb by itself. Frangipane and a tart to top it off? I am a reasonable cook and baker but Frangipane has been my nemesis (greasy after baking) so am keen to try your recipe before I give up altogether. Do you think it would be possible to make this in one large tart rather than individual tarlets? If so what would you suggest in terms of size of tart tin, cooking time and temp? Thanks for any advice. These look great. I am a reasonable cook and baker but Frangipane has been my nemesis (greasy after baking) so am keen to try your recipe before I give up altogether. I bake these individuals every day here at the pub and they fly out of the kitchen. For a large tart I would suggest a 20cm flan tin like this one from lakeland https://www.lakeland.co.uk/12523/20cm-Loose-Based-Round-Flan-Tin and bake the tart at 170 degrees for 40 -45 minutes. You can tell if it's cooked when the frangipane is golden brown, slightly risen and does not give way when you tough it. Remember to roll the pastry thinly to ensure that it cooks all the way through. Happy baking, Maddy Dear Daryl,
