El Bulli’s Test Kitchen with Albert Adria
Anthony Bourdain visits Albert Adria at El Taller,which is the test kitchen and workshop where all the new ideas are generated for El Bulli. Albert Adria and brother Ferran, are the driving force behind El Bulli, the best restaurant in the world.
This video is amazing and made me question my abilities as a chef. The 30second microwave sponge cake is jaw droppingly interesting and is just one of the experiments that Albert talks to Anthony about.
I got the impression that Albert is seriously rebelling against the hype and the fuss surrounding molecular gastronomy, almost as if he’s mocking the whole hype.
It’s 4 minutes well spent, certainly made me smile!
